The bit about the 'elfers

Now I know Team has me in it, but these are the others that make us such a good combination. :)

This is temporarily bodged until I get some more time to work on this section, which will eventually list all the events each member has attended, and any photo's they are in, as well as more details about themselves, and possibly their own diary/blog.

Les - AKA The Gnome, Beardy bloke, ZZ, Leso, Uncle Albert (and many others that are not printable)
	Lyn says - Les was in his first season of drag racing when we got together (if I'd known then what I know now - only joking). He often gets frustrated when other people don't seem as keen as he is to get things done immediately, and he has to be reminded that for most people drag racing is a hobby but to him it is an obsession. He's like a stick of rock - you break him in half and he'd have Drag Racing written right through him. It's not only the riding of the bike that he enjoys it's the working on the bikes, building and working out how he can make them go quicker, look prettier etc. He really enjoys a challenge and the words 'I can't do that' really don't come into his vocabulary at all. Not only does he race but Les is an ACU scrutineer, checking the drag bikes over at the meetings and performing many other duties that the position holds. At present is also the Chairman of the National Association of Supertins (yes a drag racing club). My Les looks like a typical biker, shaved head, tattoos etc. (you can see from the pics on this site) but he is also an excellent friend to so many people - he really does have a soft side. Wouldn't be without him.

Lyn - Crew Chief, Bottle Washer, Puller
	Les says - My beautiful wife Lyn, plays a major part in our team, from working on the bikes at home, loading and unloading, moving the Gas bike around the pits etc. She tows me on her 'pit ped' and sorts out all the food, clothing etc for the Caravan. Other jobs include cooking, getting timing tickets and so much more. It would not happen without my Lyn's input. (During the week she even works in an office). Lyn is also the Nerves Department and does worry a lot when I race. She if better after the first run of the day and before every run she always tells me to be careful because she loves me, but… she also tells me to 'ride it like I stole it'. They say behind every good racer there is an even better crew, and it's true! Lyn is so good working on the start line and has go the burnouts down to a fine art. I'm so lucky to have Lyn. Lyn's other names : Auntie Lyn, Mummy Lyn and Davette Middle Picture: Lyn towing me back after my first 9.5 second run! Happy bunny in the background. Tim - TC(P), Captain Chaos
	Les says - Tim has been working as crew on our team for around 3 years now and is totally hooked on Drag Racing (there is no cure) Tim and Lyn work together on the start line, Tim finds the sticky part of the track and takes the rear tyre and track temperatures (which we keep a record of). Tim also studies the timing tickets and anything else he can get his hands on. He helps with the loading and unloading of the bike and is an excellent navigator. They say that 3 is a crowd but it works for us! TC? Well 'Team Chef' (what else) because that's his day job. And the P is for P**s taking which he is also very good at - most of the time it's at my expense. Tim is definitely not a morning person, it can take hours (and mug fulls of coffee) to get him up and ready for action. Unless, of course, it has something to do with his daughter or drag racing and then he's really up and ready. Good boy Tim - thanks for all your help over the seasons and for helping make up an excellent team.

Tara - aka Slim / Slimbo the Team Model
	Slim is a total petrol head, and loves drag racing/bikes/cars/tractors, etc, anything made of metal. Slim is right there when there is work to be done, working on any 3 of our drag bikes, she loves it. Also helps to load and unload, and does not miss one/any of my runs. Plans for 2011: slim plans to race with NAST, in the street et class. She has already got her eye on tilly3, when I am racing the Polharris. For now, slim is our very own team model. She has done two photo shoots, and did very well. There is only one place on Earth where she wants to be, and that’s Santa Pod. I think slim has got the drag racing bug. Good girl.

Tony - Shinless, Good for Nothing, No Idea Hanger On
	Our Idea Man (well, I say that, but he's only had one real good one so far :p) and team hanger-on (male groupie). Tony is married to Caz (poor girl) and he's a bit of an ideas man - it was his idea to do a calendar the first year but then rapidly regretted it because it took up so much of Caz's time that he saw so little of her (and only just married as well!!!!). He's come up with loads and loads of ideas that are S**t but he has come up with the idea of some Bumper Stickers which we intend to get printed very shortly. He always brings a bottle of JD with him when he comes racing, which is something that Les really appreciates. Yes Tony does attend teh race meetings, but he spends more time wandering about and making their tent homely and planning the meals that he really doesn't have much time for anything else. Les and Lyn visit Tony and Caz quite regularly, and although Caz is a trained chef it is Tony that does most of the cooking (and not bad either). Him and Caz have bough a bungalow in a small village on the outskirts of Norwich, and he's already making plans to extend, build on, sell, or rent it. Caz is standing her ground at the moment and is making the most of living in the country in a new home that she loves - so leave it out Tony!! Tony has bought a 4x4 and likes to go round the country lanes where he lives 'off roading' - one day he'll get stuck in a big way - he he (I hope!). He also likes to investigate all the walks in the area and has found a discarded tractor which he has told Les about (much to Lyn's dismay) between them they made up their minds to try to find out who it belongs to so that Les could take it home and lovingly restore it, along with his existing small collection of different bikes. Tonly - Les doesn't need any encouragement so leave it out!!

Caz - Team Photographer, Calendar Producer
	Caz is a very modest lady, its only in the last 2.5 years that caz has used a Camera and PC. She sent herself off to night school, and took on board all she was taught. Caz is married to Tony (but we won't hold that against her), who is the teams Idea Man! He has had two good ones, and three thousand others that were CRAP. One being the Calendar, good one that is. So I went out and got the twelve sponsors to help fund the first calendar, while Caz designed the pagse, and of course took loads of photos. She worked so hard, over come loads of problems (like being married to Tony) with the computer, and cameras that just stopped working after one frame, great, and it was a new Cannon! Caz soldiered on and got the job done, not two calendars on, there's no stopping the girl. Although Caz loves being behind the Camera, she does not and will not get in front of one, so sorry but no photo of Caz yet, but the team does have ways and means of getting one or two. Its worth waiting, as Caz is a very beautiful woman, and a valued team member.
