End of NAST 2009 Season

NAST continues to surprise me year apon year. In some race classes things can be a little predictable regarding the end of season results, and yet again this is the area NAST continues to show that these things aren't always the case, and refreshingly so in my opinion!

Not only was it an excellent race season, with constant surprises and personal achievements by so many, it has been a fun and entertaining year!

This year in particular has had one thing come fast to the front of my mind:  The Club.  The club this year has grown so much, and not only in numbers!  The members have bonded so well together that they made it not only a challenging and exciting race season for each other, but had a lot of fun in the process.  This is something that hasn't gone un-noticed, as we've had feedback from so many people, some spectators, others officials at tracks.  To coin a phrase from The A-Team:  I love it when a plan comes together!

I don't think you can put too fine a point on it, but it's this kind of community spirit that not only helps a club develop, but also remain active and enjoyable to be a part of, and so much much more that is harder to really put into words.  I just hope others feel, as I have, that this year has been really great.

We shall celebrate this fact at the AGM, in glorious and legendary style, that should be memorable for many years to come, or fall drunkly by the wayside trying! hehe
